2017 Bluegrass Inaugural Ball

Cansler Inauguration KY Society Ball 17.0118

Founder and Chief Strategist of Cansler Consulting, Tim Cansler with wife Janna Cansler at the 2017 Bluegrass Ball.

Many thanks to my fellow Kentuckians and members of the Kentucky Society of Washington for allowing us to celebrate with you the peaceful transition of power and the inauguration of the 45th President of the United States at the 2017 Bluegrass Ball.

Many of our Commonwealth’s dignitaries were on-hand for the celebration including Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and Secretary of Transportation Elaine Chao, Senator Rand Paul, Kentucky’s U.S. House delegation and Governor Matt Bevins.

This year’s Bluegrass Ball featured a Kentucky Bourbon Trail® Reception with legendary members of the Kentucky Distillers’ Association providing guests with the opportunity to taste a selection of Kentucky Bourbons and hear firsthand about the history and distilling process of each featured product.

Chef Ouita Michel, Owner and Executive Chef of the Holly Hill Inn in Midway, Kentucky, served a Kentucky-inspired menu.  She has been nominated several times as Restaurateur and Best Chef: Southeast by the James Beard Foundation.

We’re so proud that The Bluegrass Ball has been named an “Editors Pick” by the Washington Post, with its audience of near 1,000 including high-powered politicians, celebrities, Washington tastemakers and many friends of Kentucky.
